HPI BTCC car at the Challenge Round 2

Race driver Ian Curley from the HPI Racing with Friends Reunited BTCC racing team showed up with his full-size Lexus IS200 race car this past Sunday at the Brookland Circuit in Kent.

Racers from the Challenge series and local club members checked out the car and spoke with Ian before he made his way up to the driver stand to do a little "testing" on the winding Brookland RC race track.
Ian lives near the Brookland RC Circuit so was happy to pop by for a few hours and chat with the RC racers. Although this is his first year running a BTCC car with teammate Richard Williams from East Sussex, Ian has been karting (1990-91), racing Minis and winning championships in this class (1992-2003), before racing in the Clio Cup last year at the BTCC rounds and winning twice with four other podium finishes.

We'd like to thank Ian and his crew for making the trip on Sunday!
